17 June, 2019 – Maldives – Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton’s (NYSE:HLT) hotel portfolio for the smart luxury traveler, welcomes world-renowned pianist Lang Lang, his new wife Gina Alice Redlinger, and their respective parents on their honeymoon and family vacation at the world’ first undersea residence, THE MURAKA at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island.

During the trip, Lang Lang celebrated his 37th birthday with his family, and joined his wife and the resort’s resident marine biologist to learn more about how Rangali Island is regenerating the coral reefs around the resort, THE MURAKA and local community. While at the resort, Lang Lang and Redlinger adopted a coral and planted a personalized coral frame to support reef restoration.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island is an idyllic island paradise, with lush tropical greenery and unparalleled views of and access to the Indian Ocean. Celebrated for its pioneering achievements, Rangali Island was the first to immerse global wanderers in the beauty of the Indian Ocean, through the modern design and technology triumph that is THE MURAKA, the world’s first-of-its-kind residence featuring fully integrated living, dining, entertaining and sleeping above and below the Indian Ocean that made its official debut in November 2018.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island was the first resort in the world to offer undersea dining at its restaurant Ithaa. Its wine and cheese bar was also another Maldivian first, and it complements the other 10 award-winning restaurants and bars. Two award-winning spas, including one over the sea with glass-floored treatment rooms, offer relaxation and rejuvenation, and the rare and diverse marine wildlife on show cements Conrad Maldives Rangali Island as one of the premier island destinations worldwide.
